Roe TT kit

It's great that u can buy a kit without forging your engine.

But I don't like turbo's at all. The lag is the part I hate when u are driving on the streets. :(
That was what I liked about Roe racing... they did it with superchargers as it should be on american muscle..

But they seem to go the hennessey way with the turbo's...:p

Lag? With 8.3 liters you had better not complain about lag. To be worried about lag is a bunch of:bs:. Go and drive a turbo car, preferably gas, and you'll see.

No/very slight lag here

i agree.

with todays turbos, pop off valves & technology. really not a concern.

the debate for me is either the horses it takes to turn a blower/supercharger or "free" drive for turbos :dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow:

How much does a setup like that run you and how long will that stock motor last is the question? Aren't the car motors (internals) different than the trucks?

Same thing except the car weights half as much, the engine doesnt have to work as hard in the car as in the truck.

Ahh ok, well im sure a TT on a stock block truck wouldnt be so happy!

It all depends on the boost and the tune. Personally I dont think I would do it, hell if I could do it over again I wouldnt have put the supercharger on mine with stock internals again either.

Why do you say that?

Because it cost me $20,000 to rebuild my motor after I broke a ring land on a piston.

Good to know. I was seriously considering the Paxton SC. I'm not prepared to go in the motor tho....I just wanted to do bolt on's. I guess the heads and cam package is the best way to go.

Yup heads and cam is the best route if you don't need 650 plus rwhp and don't want to build your motor:D

Thats the route im taking....

Cause it's a good way to blow a motor.

Did you change anything internal to the engine (i,e. pistons, rods etc to forged) before you put the ROE TT on your truck? So you only drive it at the track or is it like a weekend vehicle?

It's built and BRAd drives it everyday he can:rock:

not for long...at least swap out the pistons/rods...but then you should do mains, caps, ...then you'll be like eddie....
