Rotors warped for the third time WTF!

When I first put the SRT brakes on my truck I turned the rotors to make sure they were true and would bed in the pads properly. Within 300 miles the rotors warped. I remember others on the NFFF that had the same trouble.
I ordered a new set of Rotors and when I swappped the rear axle I put new Pads & rotors on all the way around.
I also had them Cryogenically treated for extra insurance.
Havent had trouble since

Are you listen Misterhemi03. Tell the service manager what you've heard from this forum. Knocks them for a loop. Most dealers only see one or two of these truck come through and their maintenance hack doesn't no squat about them. :burnout:

Truck went in this morning. Interested to see what they do. Already replaced all 4 rotors.
Thank you everyone for the advice.

They machined all four rotors, I'm going to keep my paperwork for when they go to shit in another few thousand.
Fuckin rediculous!

I would put money on it ...that that's the second time they were turned...and were never replaced to begin with.:dontknow:

Good meeting you two the other night....we will have to gtg again. this time I will bring the Rottie.:D

Ken- I would agree with you, but I inspected their work, and they did replace both the front and rear rotors, after they already turned the rears with no solution. In a few weeks when they turn to shit again, I'm going to demand new rotors, and calipers. I've had it with this BS.
On a different note, It was nice to finally meet you, and yes we should gtg soon again. It doesnt look like I will b able to make the Jax GTG. I would love to go more than anything, but right now I have no income, and I need to get my family biz off the ground. One day off a week is already strechin it. Might be looking for work soon, so then maybe I can make it next yr.(Thats also if I can put up with all these retarded problems) If not, im gonna get a nice reliable Yota FJ

Ok this is simple common sense and some may not like what I say but here goes.

First to check everything simply raise the truck off the ground , at the dealership or off the ground.

go to each tire and spin it, if there is any drag there is your starting point.

tightning of the lugs will cause it but they have to be really too tight and off balanced

While the truck is off the ground have someone start depressing the brake pedal in 1/16 inch increments, if it is off then it will immediatly start the claipers clamping, ergo you need more travel in the pedal.

If not and it seems normal, stop riding around with your foot on the pedal.

A braking system is very simple and common sense, pressure is applied to each caliper, rotors warp from a getting hot from friction from the caliper putting pressure on the rotor, there for there must be a reason for the pressure to being applied.

Just going in balls out doesnt fix the problem, try the things above and correct the ones at fault and your problem should b resolved.

hope this helps

Thanks Stinker, my left foot only knows what the clutch pedal is like, and my right foot doesnt even go near the brake until ive gone through all the gears, then at about 25 mph. No brake riding here. Thanks for the advice. I wish I had more time to problem solve. I'll keep everyone updated as to what happens. My guess is that the rotors will warp very shortly. Turned rotors always turn to crap.
