Only prob I have with the Z06 is that by the time yer done, yer at (what) 75-80k....?

Damn, save yer money for a true exotic...........No?

For a C6 version, yes.I would have to get a C5 version due to price.Had a dealer e-mail an offer to buy a Calloway Vette (supercharged and about 600-650 HP)for 85k.Very tempting, but too high for me.

Can buy a new 07 c6 for low to mid 40's with no trade and it is so much nicer in every way than a c5. I know, my opinion, but I have owned both.
Have to be one heck of a driver to tell the diff in a c5 Zo6 and a C6 (speed wise)except the C5 rides and drives so much worse and scrapes every anthill in the road plus just does not look cool when you park em side by side.
Had 11k miles on my 03 50th anni edition and one test drive in the 06 is all it took.
Was blown away by how much difference there was after an aggressive test drive. So much lighter feeling, better riding and S.O.P. faster feeling, I almost couldn't sleep till I found one optioned like I wanted.
Mustang feel in a GT is not even in the ballpark.
Feels more like our trucks BIG and HEAVY!
But thats why they call em trucks not sports cars:(

Thanks for the input.Helps me to make my decision (IF I can sell the bike).
I really want an arctic white with red interior, convertible, paddle shift/ automatic.     :D

1. C5 Z06 an 03 should be about $31K!
2. C5 FRC(fixed roof coupe) 99-00, $19K for good condition, $10K for more power and run low 11's!
3. 03-04 Cobra for $25K, for $3k you can pull serious horsepower out of it!
:dontknow: decisions decisions, What about a GTO, they are cheap now...and ugly!

The new GTO's are not me at all.Not a Chevy guy either, but then a Corvette is a Corvette. The Mustangs just have a bad-ass look about them.Looks without performance are not for me either.

Have looked at ads for a Z07.A Z06 stroked to 427.VERY fast.Very streetable.

Talked to a friend of mine today that test drove both a Roush and a Shelby. The Roush handled better but the Shelby felt WAY more powerful according to him.

I had a 2000 Vette with the Z51 ,6-speed,HUD,magnesium wheels, and it was very much like a Z06 since it was the FRC (fixed roof coupe) .

I drove several 03-04 Z06's and loved them.Just couldn't get the price where I wanted it.I actually prefer the C5 styling over the C6,except the convertible ('cause it has the straight down rear window,I HATE those long sloping windows).

I still have to sell my bike in order to do this without going in debt.

I saw a video about a yr ago that backs what your friend said about the Roush & Shelby....A Shelby and Roush had it out on a road course...Roush would leave the Shelby in it's dust thru the twistys...Shelby would gain ground fast in the straight aways...Roush won in the end..

Thing is pretty sweet, huh!:D
I knew you'd like it!

Why don't you go with a Superformance Cobra? In my opinion from reading your post, A GTS Viper is what you need. I could give you reasons. It's not a Corvette and it's not a Mustang.

His lead foot is made glaringly apparent with just one glance at the rear meats.:burnout:

i want that vette!

Me too! It may be in my sig in a few weeks:D Or some other possble dope rides!

Once again I must point to my size.I simply can't fit inside a Viper or Cobra.I am 6'2" and weigh over 350.I barely fit into a Vette.

The Shelby just doesn't have the "look" that the Roush does.It should be a better value in the long run,as far as resale goes.

I would fly out to get that Vette tomorrow if I had the cash.Really need to sell my bike !!!!!!!!Wonder if he would trade ???????
