Royal Purple

Has any used " Royal Purple " engine oil? Any performance gains? Worth the change from Mobil 1.

Its a great oil, I personally think if there would be any performance gains they would be minimal, probably more personal preference than anything, I myself like redline oil products, some on here use lucas, some amsoil, Just as long as you pick a good quality synthetic you should be fine.

I think it would depend on your dealer, probably not unless you had an engine failure and they did an oil analysis to determine the problem and wanted to be a prick.

The best answer I could give you is to pm Stingray, he is a current tech at a dealer and could give you a better answer.

No Royal Purple is not going to void your warranty as long as your using the right viscosity. You won't see a performance gain...either is good oil...

yes you can get gains.

In a recent Super Chevy mag I think, they took a chevy dually and changed the oil, trans oil, and rear axle oil, gained around 10rwhp and 20 or so lbs of torque.

Mobil 1 is all around synthetic great oil.

Aftermarket oils such as Royal purpal, Red Line, and others have extra properties to help it be a tad slicker, they are just a tad more job specific.

I ONLY run Royal Purple because I was so impressed that my truck ran for 100 miles with NOTHING but the ROYAL PURPLE lube for break in .......that I only use their stuff now. Its expensive but seems to be very good.
