Was at Murphy Gas (Walmart) today and all they're pumping is regular or diesel. This is going on 2 or 3 weeks now.
Its the Internetz fault. Actually it might have something to do with the worlds communications systems being so good now. Good news travels fast and bad news travels faster. So instead of just a community suffering from a hurricane, the whole nation can. Chicken Little syndrome. People will take the opportunity to exploit bad news to their advantage.VIPR PWR said:Has anyone noticed that huricanes never use to affect gas prices untill a few years ago ---Whats the difference now?
TNVIPER said:93 is down to $3.89 here with gas available at all stations......You might stay away from Atlanta...I saw on the news this morning they were experiencing shortages...one guy they interviewed said he had driven to 10 stations trying to find gas..
OCBob said:Pretty strange that Atlanta is out of gas, but not the smaller areas around there. One would think that the best move would be to funnel more fuel to the large metropolis that is the center of the Southern economy.

What I am going to do is fill up in Macon, before I get into the big city. That will get me to Atlanta and back to Macon. From what I understand, it's mostly in the bigger cities that there are shortages. We'll see!!
Wish me luck!
Scrambler1 said:I reccomend stopping before you get to Macon. A guy from work was in Atlanta last week and finally found gas in Dublin on his way back. Situation is supposed to be getting better so by now it may not be an issue.
Scrambler1 said:Just talked to some friends of mine. Quick Trip is keeping their busiest Atlanta area stations gassed up. Racetrac is doing alright as well. Premium is still hard to find but most stations have gas and the lines are not nearly as long. Doesn't sound like you'll have a problem.
