How do I adjust the belt? If I put a wrench to the S/C pulley, I can turn it. It seems the belt needs adjustment. I can't believe that it would be that easy to turn. Shouldn't the friction of the belt make it almost impossible to turn?

How many miles do you have on that belt, and how "easy" is easy?

Mine's brand new, and darned tight. I can still slip the pulley if I want, but then again, Hellboy has Kung Fu grip. (Hey I was a teenager, after all. :p )

Check the belt tensioner. If it is at or near the bottom of its range of movement, it's not going to be able to put much tension on the belt. Aside from the belt tensioner, there is no way of "adjusting" belt tension.

as far as I know there is no "adjustment" the tensioner pully just keeps constant pressure with no adjustment...

If you feel your belt is slack, you can always place a new idle pulley to make it tight again. Taliban Dan did for me, but for another reason. Drill a 9/16" hole in the pulley bracket and buy a idle pulley and spacer from Roe. Obviously, you have to take off the belt when doing so then pull it back on.

Thanks guys. I believe I read somewhere that there may be a bulletin for the tensioner. Is that correct?

watch the boost gauge, if it goes up to about 8psi right before you shift I wouldnt think its slipping, right?

:dito: Mine will peak at 7ish psi... no slip after 2+ K on mine either... I do have a spare belt in the door pocket just in case though.;)
