Sacramento Street Legal Drags Sept 26 07

Before I put on my next mods I want to get a good baseline. Sacramento Raceway is the only track I could find that is open this week. The gates open on Wednesday Sept 26, 07 at 4pm. Racing starts at 5pm and ends at 10pm. Here is the link:

Might be going to a Dyno day in Modesto on the Oct. 13th and then Sac on the Oct. 14th. Sac on the 14th is suppose to be trucks only.

The 13th and 14th of Oct is a busy schedule for the west coast gtg's. We have Pechanga on the 13th. We also have azpyroguy's truck show on the 13th and 14th. Now we have this Mopar car and truck dragstrip day.

Here is my best time:

This was the first time I have ever done a "Bracket Racing" event. I got second place for the event. I lost the last race to a 89 camaro by .043 seconds. My bracket was 13.2 and his was 12.9 . I got a 13.412 and he got a 12.938 . On my time trial I got a 13.402 at 87degrees so I figured as the temp cooled I would be a little faster so I didn't want to beat myself so I put in a conservative 13.2 as my bracket. If I put in 13.3 as my bracket I would have won the event. This bracket racing is def more fun than the traditional drag race. I had fun. :burnout: :burnout:

I hear ya on the bracket racing a lot more strategy to account for. The QC trucks are real consistent. With the changing DA and corrected times I was running within a tenth every run. The last time I raced I brokeout in the first round. Had a little bit of a tailwind and ended up running my fastest time of the day :burnout:

It was great to met up with SRTBRAD...that must have been a heck of a drive for 5 hours, giver or take, of racing. But it was fun. The first run was up against the brand new blue Ford Mustang. This was the 427R Rousch model. SRTBRAD ran a 13.40 against the Ford's 13.47. Great to see that!:rock: :rock: :rock: I will definitely say that we enjoyed the smoke out courtesy of SRTBRAD...I think everyoe there did!:burnout: :burnout: :burnout: Gotta love the power and the line lock. How about the video that my daughter shot...did any of that turn???
