SAFE SHOT OF NITROUS?

i'm thinking of going the nitrous route too. zex has a kit, i'm thinking of starting with the 55 shot first, my question is with a stage II flash whats the max i can go safely?:dontknow:
 
w/ the stage II......hmmm I really have no idea but I'd think a 55 shot should be ok.....I started there when I got my zex kit and now I'm at a 150! I'd say if you just want NOS for racing then swap your stock ecu back in and run up to a 150 shot and you'll be good! I have about 20 runs on a 150 shot and all is good so far (stock ecu) Good Luck!
 
a 50 shot will be OK, but even that would make me feel slightly nervous. Some bad gas, or something else goes wrong and its too risky. I would definitely put in cooler plugs, put the stock PCM back in, and go with 100 instead lol :D :D

The timing advance is pretty good w/ the stage 2, and I wouldn't mix it w/ the Nitrous...some might say its fine, but I like being a little on the conservative side (these motors are not small block 350's $$ :) )

i had my stock ecu flashed,and really don't want to swap comps. in and out. just want a "little" extra boost every now and then:driver:

i understand this is a "wet" system, won't that help with detonation issues?

Is nitrous kinda like beer? You drink one and well, another sounds ever better.....two made me feel good, three will make me feel even better....before long the six pack is gone, so you bust open the twelve pack........10 or 12 beers later your drunk passed out.....next day hung over.... Is nitrous like that? 50 shot is fun.......100 shot even better.....etc...... until your engine gets hung over? LOL

The stage 2 flash has some aggressive timing. I wouldn't go over 100 shot with your mods.

- Reduce timing to close to stock values or at least reduce 2-3 degrees/50 HP shot (w/VEC or reflash) and round up.
- Colder plugs
- 93 octane or race gas
- Meth injection
- Wait 'till 3000 RPM and WOT before injecting
- A/F gauge to monitor - A MUST for me.

Wet just means the system is mixing fuel and NOS together to inject. Definitely want a Wet sytem.
