The 2 piece one has the spacer for the ATI damper I believe.

It's great to see everybody here! I'd buy one of these if I didn't already have one.

its bad when tony gets grumpy, but funny at the same time:p

we have had tons of calls emails so forth on the differences between ours and others on the market, honestly he don't care, but it is frustrating
especially since he keeps me on a bit of a leash, but he is busy tonight,so I will weigh , measure and compare and let everyone know the differences,

but the two we offer,

one is for the ATI or OEM balancer, two parts, meaning more machine time, meaning more money to machine them out.

the other is a one piece, less machining and handling time, thus less $$

but Tony is all about giving the best deal, but at the same time making sure the part is safe and will last, perform as it should, so he had the one piece machined, easier and quicker. plus with the new shop we just moved into , he really wanted to give back to the people that helped us get here, so he is bulk selling these to thank everyone for the past years they have supported him. As well as a few other things coming that are in the machine shop now.

A cheap part is defined by less quality, less material, and less workmanship, and usually part failure...

OEM Stock - 35.2 ounces

Our JTSVP T6061 1 pc Underdrive Pulley - 18.6 ounces $159 sale price

Competitors - 15 ounces

Heres what we have so far, the JTSVP 1pc Underdrive Pulley is 16.6 ounces lighter than the OEM pulley, the competitions pulley is 20.2 ounces lighter than the OEM pulley, both saving easily over a pound over stock.

Now, the JTSVP pulley is 3.6 ounces heavier than the competitions pulley, but this is for a reason...

The base of the JTSVP pulley is MUCH thicker and just as importantly, its TAPERED for strength at high rpm. As mentioned by one of our CNC Specialists, a "boxed" or square edge can and will have the tendency to flex under load, especially at rpms up to 6000 as in our applications, so we made sure to incorporate proper structural support into our design to ensure a safe, long lasting part.

Lastly, both the JTSVP Pulley and the Competitions pulley are 15% underdriven, same size pulleys, but ours is a lil heavier for strength and durability.

As far as one of these pullies making more power than the other? I personally don't see 3.6 ounces making a noticeable gain even on a dynometer. And honestly, would I personally spend a ton more money for a less sturdy part because of three ounces on my V10 crank pully? No sir, I would not.

I would like to state that we name no names on the "competitions" part. It is a pulley that came in on a customers vehicle that we are replacing with ours per their customers request.

not what I would do, but if there are questions as such I appreciate you taking the time to do this cody, very nice write up and comparison.
and very appreciative that you didn't name the other company, not the way we work

got the second run in already guys,

these are made in house the shifters will be back after xmas for those asking

underdrive pullies have been made for years, many made them before us and we started 4 years ago, but we are now able to bring them to you at a reasonable cost
