Sounds like a nice mod for cooler running, cooler looking and also shave a few pounds too. Easy to do too, mean!!
Oops, Im on my phone, just saw your thread, I thought we were all talking about removing the ENTIRE scoop area LOL and cutting out the bracket the scoop bolts too, to make a huge hole because of what the original poster was left with once his scoop blew out. Then doing a custom mesh insert. I did the stock mesh inserg mod a while ago but instead of removing it, went OCD an removed the "teeth" from the mesh for a cleaner look. Anyone done the FULL scoop removal?

Im pretty sure we were talking about removing that whole scoop piece! And replacing it with a large mesh screen or something like that. Really increase airflow and possibly little more cooling.

oops! I missed that. It does look badass!! Well back outside I go lol. Actually Ill probably just leave the scoop in, I dont mind a little junk getting under the hood, but thats just asking for it.

Mine doesn't have any screen and daily driven in rain, dirt roads, etc as well as highway speeds in Mexico up to 145 and has been fine. Water nor dust will affect anything other than a slightly dirty engine bay
Id like to think it runs a hair cooler and looks killer. This is on a venom hood but stock makes no difference :burnout:
You removed the entire scoop ? not just the mesh? lets see pics.. Thats one massive hole in the hood...

Thats what Im thinking too, I mean it would let WAY more air in but a hole that big in the hood? Not for me
With mesh it really won't make much (if any difference) to debris. You'd think it'd look pretty weird, maybe too big? But the photoshop Venomous did below, it actually looks pretty kickass (from that angle anyway).

You're in luck, I was already doing a photoshop on The Batram.
It looks" Okaaaaaay", not sure now. It looks a tad too big and like it's missing something BUT, then again I don't know if it's just my/our brains because we all know SOMETHING goes there, yah know? Looks pretty cool and free flow. I'm on the fence for now. BEFORE
