SCT question

Im doing a heads,cam,intake,tb,full exhaust,tstat package.. Now can I just get a SCT and a program sent out based on the mods, Or do I Dyno it and send the dyno to the sct guys and have them send me back a program or 2?..

As well is the SCT the way to go over the Mopar pc? ..

The cam is a big one.. You can tell your tuner what you have planned, octane available in your area, and the altitude where you live (looks like sea-level). From there he can send you something reasonably close BUT get to a dyno and make sure there is no ping.
The Mopar e.c.u. has a set tune and unlikely to be suitable with your planned mods.
The SCT- you can have tunes emailed to you and install them yourself (easy).

yeah dyno tune that puppy with the SCT thats what i'm having to do!

If i buy a used SCT can this be used on my truck as well or are they vin specific when you order them ??

To my understanding they are vin specific,but as long as the person thats used it doesn't have their stock tune in the programmer that the vin can be changed (reprogrammed) and used in another truck.

dude don't even mess around if you are going through all of that. when we did the dyno day every truck was different. we make 5 different pulls on my truck and went form +20 tq. to +40rwtq NA. With all that stuff you doing you need it spot on to get the most bang for your buck or else you won't realize full potential. Find someone who can with the SCT...Marty tuned mine and gave me a custom NOS tune....truck runs great.

yes as long as they put their truck back to stock like yellow venom said. then it can be used on any srt 10 ram.
