You have the tool (SCT), now you need the talent.
In no particular order: Sean Roe, DC Performance or Stinker's guy for the tuning chores.
If you don't know who's tune(s) you have, it isn't worth the gamble, i.m.h.o. to just drive around, not knowing what is going on inside your engine.
Personally, I would buy a proper tune from one of the companies above (a.s.a.p.) and then check it out on a dyno to make sure your A/F is ok and it isn't detonating under load.

If you have the usb plug you can power it up with your computer. Plug it in like you would normaly and scoll all the way down it will only tell you who set it up to begin with. Just get 3 new ones. to be on the safe side. make sure you go to the sct site and download the software you will need for the tunes. it will tell you what to download by the model. ALso update the firmware on the SCT if has not been. Have Fun.

i have talked to a few ppl today... about the SCT tuner, and Mr. Roe
wat i didnt know is... the sct can be locked and i would not be able to do any thing with it, i have been givein instruction to ck when i get home to see if it is locked " i am hoping it is not " i would be
what i do know is that the org. owner is " Sigma-Wildcat ( 2006 Ram SRT10 RC ) vtcoa member that sold it to redram10 and i bought it from him " i have a 2005 srt10 rc, so im not sure it will work reguardless of who tuned it i cold be wrong
so im going to wait till i get home as it just arrived at home and my wife is calling tellin me it there and see what the deal is
worst case im hoping for is i need to get it retuned

ok - so i got home, pick up the sct and headed to the gar....
1st thing i see on the package is it already tuned with the 91 tune for summer
2nd is that the tuner is krc performance
well my dumbazz thought the it was a standerd 91 tune, so wat do i do

so i said ok - ill return it back to stock, so i did - everthing went back to the way it was - b4 the tune " i think "
so i called torrie @ Unleashed Tuning
talked to him told him wat happen.....
spent some more $$ to get 3 new tunes.......
i got a usb1 to usb2 cable - to plug the SCT into my computer
and got 3 new tunes......... hi oct mid oct low oct
i installed the hi Oct. on my srt 10
loaded up just fine - i went to run thu the gears - 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th " alittle hard to get into " and cant get it in 6th
so i put it in reverse - and rolled back a bit then ran thu them again i had 6th gear this time
ran thu them 1 more time - no 6th or hard to get into !! i dont want to force it
and the " abs " and e break light wont go out after i start the truck and leave it run for a bite like it should
so i sent torrie an email " he out to dinner " waitin on his e-mail or phone call back to see what up
i hope i dont need to buy a new pcm " that would really piss me the F* off "
only time will tell
ok - so i have anther Question, b4 i installed anything on the truck " tune " it said - 1 remanding tune left or something like that
so i cant reflash the pcm ?? ne more ????

the SCT should not affect the trans on a RC at all, the one more tune i think refers to how many different trucks you can use it on, your's is the 2nd truck it's been used on(you sad redram didn't use it right?) so if you decide to sell it it'll work on one more truck then if that guy wants to sell it it'll lock up when that buyer tries it(roe can un lock them) my ABS and E-brake light would come on sometimes and i just drove it till they went out(they always did after a while)
You are in good hands with Torrie....he probably knows more about tuning the Viper with the SCT than anyone since he helped develop it.........and I agree with arrest about not having any effect on the trans....the 6 sp is not controlled by the PCM as is the auto...dont know what is causing that..:dontknow:
Viper I would check your clutch fluid,
the tune want have anything to do with the tranny not shifting on a rc
one of a couple things,
the clutch fluid needs changing, it may have broken down a bit and that will cause some very hard shifting, and easy to check and replace the fluid.
other will be the actual clutch, give it a good clutch test, get on the hwy around 60mph or better, in 5th or 6th, rev it up a bit and just drop the clutch, aand I mean like you are trying to smack a gear, it should engage without rpms changing at all, if it revs then falls, bad clutch
lastly, could be a bad tranny
