Well after my last oil change, my rear main seal which had a light seep, is now getting worse and I notice a hint of oil smell in the cab. My truck runs so good and don't want a local hack to touch it. What to do?
Gainesville 2.5 hrs north of you. You affiliated with a dealer?Bone said:Bring it over here (Warner Robins). We'll look at it. How far are you from us?

I know it's inevitable. Think I'll up grade to the Centerforce and lighter flywheel while they're in there.Stinker said:nope wrong idea wally(walenator is too big a word!LOLOL)
What it is is mobil 1 is sythetic meanin super slippery.
So is royal purple, redline etc.
This is why they used to tell ya if ya had an engine with 50,000 or more miles not to switch to synthetic, cux it would start oil leaks everywhere.
A regular oil is not as slippery and thus does not cause leaks as bad.
but the synthetic gives better protection and performance.
One thing you can try is on your next oil change put in one quart of lucas oil stabalizer.
It is super thick so dont be afraid, but it should slow the leak if ya dont wanto go under the knife.
but just for info, sooner or later, your gonna have to![]()
