Selling truck...how much for my parts???

why are yoiu selling it? Had to ask.

Well---honestly I need something more practical.....and I am selling the truck and my bike....I am looking into getting a F350 or a F450 (gosh, letting the beatings begin).....I know I said something more practical, but with the diesel I can get the HP and torque to have fun and still have a vehicle I can drive in the winter and haul things with. I take very good care of my vehicles and I keep the mileage down on everything I have....The 2004 truck only has 3404 miles and the 2004 bike only has 760 miles on it.......I have a sh*t load of money in both and I am loosing my a** on both of them....so I just think it is time to get rid of some of the toys....Who ever buys my truck is getting a great truck that has been only driven on the weekends and gets only wet when it gets washed (or when I take certain lady friends for a ride:D  :p ) Plus my daughter turns 16 in a couple years so I need a vehicle which is going to last me awhile.....I really hate to sell 'er and it makes me kinda sick thinking about it, cause I love my truck and I love being on this site...but unfortunately I have to let 'er go for now....:(

yea, I have seen some diesel trucks that really hauled ass. I am sure Ill see even more when I get my truck back from Boomer.
What is the bike you are selling?

What is the bike you are selling?

Its a custom built chopper I built a few years back.....I put about $48K in it and, like I said, it only has 760 miles on it....I have it in the local paper for $19500 or best offer......loosing my a** on it also....
Thats kinda why I want a diesel....you can use 'em for anything....Boomer did all my whole install....He'll do you good.....I have had zero problems with my truck....

Sorry to hear this, but good luck to you and you don't have to leave the site ya know :D

If you just GOTTA HAVE a ford, whatever you do don't buy a 6 liter. Find a good used 7.3. The 6.0 is the biggest pile of crap ford ever made..They presently have a lawsuit against Navistar to try and get them to share the warranty cost associated with the 6.0. If you want a diesel buy a Dodge with a Cummins, for hot rodding or durability you cannot beat the Cummins. I have been turning wrenches on trucks since Basic Training at Fort Leonardwood, Mo,in 1977.

Thanks for the info...yeah, I heard they were having issues with the 6.0, but have you heard anything on the new 6.4?? I knew they had programming issues at first, but they have that taken care of. My uncle has the Dodge and a Ford and he loves both of 'em, so I haven't made my decision up on what I am going to get, but I am selling the truck for sure....

In all fairness i believe you should try to sell her as a whole, you have put in a lot of work and have a really nice truck. If it were me id keep her and sell the bike but i understand your position. But you got my phone number if things dont work out man. Saddly you are going to lose your money still especially with rising gas now on the summer spectrum. Id say you should go for 40 because of condition and parts but 35 is about right good luck to you.

How about some pics of the bike?

Here are a few pics of the bike....I am even willing to sell both together for around $55K - $58K....and I believe that is a fair, fair, fair price...If someone had the money they could sell the bike and make money and still come out way ahead......

Sorry to hear you are selling the truck (and bike)!

I've got an 06 Dodge Mega Cab diesel, it is a good truck. I had a 7.3 powerstoke also, it was a good truck as well. I would stay away from the 6.4 Ford for a while, I'm not convinced they have all the bugs worked out yet, I have heard the same issues you have. I think it will take some time to get the bi-turbo worked out.

I was 51% diesel, 49% srt-10 when I bought my truck - if I had the money I would buy yours. I already sold my dyna, now I am working on my V-rod, so we sound like we are in the same world, but I am just getting married, no kids.... :D

Nice truck....I really hate selling anything, because they are my babies, but I really need something more practical...atleast I have the pics to prove that I once owned one of the baddest trucks on the planet:D I have some guys doing some landscaping for me right now and I told them I would take around $60K for both...they said they would spread the word for me....so I'm crossing my fingers.....although in the back of my head, I'm hoping it doesn't sell, if ya know what I mean...:)

That bike is gorgeous, damn if only I were closer and had the money.

Looking for a '69 Camaro instead of a diesel? lol

Wooooooah.....124 S&S, hardtail!

That is a very nice ride...that is tempting...matches my truck....now let me see...how can I get her to spring for the 08 Viper and a VTwin....hummmmmmm.

Where the hell do you live man? IL that flat?

Seriously, sorry that you are selling your rigs. It must be killing you...

Bikertat - can you post pics of the truck like you did the bike (ext, int, engine bay, bed)? Did you get all the mechanical issues (leaks, overheating, etc.) worked out? You've got my mind a thinkin...... :D Thanks in advance!
