I hope all Alberta members are safe. Schools and businesses are closed here in Calgary. Downtown and low lying areas are evacuated. I just drove by the Bow River....I have never seen anything like it.

I live at the highest elevation in Calgary, so we will be fine. We have stocked up on food and bottled water, as we expect to our power to go out and to not have potable water soon. The military has started to move in to help with rescue and engineering support. Most major bridges are closed, there are reports of one bridge downtown that is ready to collapse.

Rain in the Rocky's and Foothills is forcast to last into mid next week.

I should add, that a State of Emergency has been declared in most areas of Southern Alberta.

Thank you! Over 100,000 people have been ordered out of their homes so far. The entire town of High River (ironic name) has been evacuated.

Unfortunetly police have confirmed bodies floating in the river.:(

Damages will be in the $$Billions. Most major freeways are closed, due to flooding or weakened bridges.

Water is up to the 14th row in the Saddle Dome. It's unreal.
