seems some folks arent able to even log in as of late?

not sure what has been changed but I know tnviper cannot log in as well as a few others sir,

might be somehting you want to look into?

I haven't changed any settings or updated anything since I was handed the reigns. The only thing I messed with was the who's online deal and that has nothing to do with the log in problem. What errors are they getting?
 
not sure, I talk with larry a good bit will ask him, he jsut says he cannot access the forum I even sent him a link to a thread and he still could not get it?
 
personally I think i would change back whatever ya did, folks arent staying on as long, arent posting as much, because they get logged off?

unusuall for folks not to hang around, we have a huge amount of folks that are "lurkers" here, they will be on for an hour or so , jsut reading post and threads and getting information, to shorten that , well , they will jsut log off, and get aggrivated,

but its jsut an observance, over half of my customers have never posted but been members for 2-3 years

Thats crazy members for 2 or 3 years and never posting. I feel like a nerd

eh some folks are sorta puter challenged, they CAN post , but some jsut dont do well with what goes on here sometimes too LOLO
 
I put it back to what it was. Users can check the "remember me" checkbox and they would be logged in for 30 days + without having to login again. This didn't really have anything to do with the login issues, but I set it back to original because I like ya :D
 
So its has been happening before I was even here I take it. I think it maybe an issue with this older version of vbulletin. I have seen a few database errors in the backend a few times.

Yes, it's been almost 2 weeks now for Roy. He can't log in from his home IP address.... We've tried everything and can't get him to log on. It must be something on the server end. :dontknow:

I was convinced that it was an issue on Roy's end, until I recently heard that others are having the same kind of problems.
 
So his IP is banned then? Would he be able to find out what his IP is? I haven't touched any of that stuff in the backend.
