I forgot to post my results fron the last test and tune (5/9/08) at Famoso. As usual the starting line was not very good. I made three passes. Run 1 was 12.739 @ 109.8 with a 1.948 60', Run 2 was 12.825 @ 110.10 with a 2.032 60'. The last run of the night was against a new Shelby GT 500 Mustang with 500 HP, plus he was on the stock street tires so I thought what the heck and I challenged him. If I handn't missed 3rd gear I would have killed him bigtime.....but as it was I barely won. Here is the breakdown: my 60' was 1.952 , his was 2.420 , my 1/8 mile time 8.571 @82.25 , his 1/8 mile was 8.902 @ 86.01... My 1/4 mile 13.224 @ 107.75 and his time was a 13.353 @ 111.71 and closing fast. Although if I hadn't missed 3rd gear I would have run close to 12.70 @110 and would have been about 5 cars or more ahead.

What are ya runnin for mods, stock ???

Time for a shifter maybe ....... Nice Kill though ......

Sorry Ironhead but SRTBrad was a no show and he usually shoots the video. Jim...my mods are as follows:2004 RC, Mofo Headers, Magnaflow, race cats, Fidanza flwheel, Centerforce clutch, 170 Therm, 4.56 gears, Caltracs, DC Performance Dyno tune (Thanks Chris), Volant Ram Air, and M&H 390-40-17 Drag Radials.

Oh and the Xmetal Gen IV shifter... The miss was entirely driver error, rare but it does happen.

did the 17 inch rears fit ok over the calipers,,,im looking for some 18 but would love 17,s

Ironhead...on my 2004 the 17's fit just fine, close but they do fit. I am running a Weld Racing Cheyenne 5D 17 X 10 wheel, they stick out a little. M&H 390-40-17 are 29" Tall and I run 17 lbs of air pressure.

Hey Brad...could you edit my 12.49 run and post it here to show the guys my potential.

So Moparracing...your point is? Both vehicles come from the factory with a rating of 500 HP, but our trucks are over 1,000 LBS HEAVIER...so yeah, I used Drag Radials....I didn't use a bottle....in fact my valve covers have never been off. Pure stock engine with exhaust and tune....just wait until I invest in some Strikers and a cam, with 11:1 compression and you will see some great Naturally Aspirated times.

If you go with Strikers and a Cam you would be well advised to also go with forged pistons, rods too. If you pull the heads, drop the pan too!

Prof... if you notice I said 11:1 Compression which is more than our stock 9.8:1 so a complete rebuild is required, I'm saving.....
