I have searched the threads and i have read peoples thoughts on the header thing- but nobody has said either way if long tube or shorts are the way to go?
i have seen the basani ceramic coated short style for a pretty good deal- i know that its a alot of $ for little gain but I am going to this mod to set up further mods down the road so........... which way is the most benifical for the Quadcab?
THANKS

LLLLLLOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGG TUBERS.

If you can afford the long tube, get them. If you can't the Bassani's are the way to go.

is there much difference from the stockers to the shortys? from what iam hereing the long tubes are the way to go- anyone here running the shorts?
thanks

I have the Bassani shorties. The long tubes are better, but I already had the 3" mid pipes and I was short on funding, so I went the easier and less expensive route.

what kind of difference did you notice with the shortys over your stockers?

A small amount, but the looks are well worth it for me.

I have the Bassani's on mine too. I already had catless mids, so I went with the less expensive route. Their dyno shows about a 10HP gain over stock and about 7ft/lbs of torque. I am guessing the catless mids add about another 10HP, which total about 20HP gain over stock. The Mopar Performance long tubes are supposed to give you 39HP over stock. Both look nice. I like the ceramic coating of the Bassani’s. You could get the Mopar’s coated, but that was too expensive.

yeah imo if you go shorttubes it's going to be a minimal gain :dontknow: i just put
the longtubes on my truck and can say im satasfied with the sound and SOTP dyno :D

The stock headers are short tube very durable cast iron construction and quiet! Very good for FI engines

wELL LONG TUBES SEEMS TO BE THE GENERAL CONSENSUS- now WHICH BRAND? BASSANI-BERLANGER-MOPAR?
Bassani's are short tubes.

Only long tube options are Mopar, Belanger or Mofo (don't ask, lol).

If you get the Mopars, get them Ceramic or Jethot coated.

Belangers all come ceramic coated already.

not sure if you dileberately left out B&B but it also is a viable option if your in the
market :)

Bro,
I got the B&B long tubes cat delete front to aft 3 inchers (stainless stell all the way and chrome tips). Yah we gain a little hp but I did it because of the sound. It absolutely rocks. I've had guys stop me at the Waffle House and say "damn that sounds great. I got a Viper and it doesn't sound that good. What'dya do to it" (makes it totally worth the extra $$) But, all bling aside, someone said if you're going to put more air into your motor then you ought to be able to get rid of it faster too. So when I got the Roe I also had the headers installed. If I hadnt been in a hurry I would have had em sugarcoated to decrease the heat under the hood (which is getting to be an issue). If you got the bucks laying around I'd say do it and get em coated. I sure like mine. Not sure which is more beneficial. Might want to talk to B&B or Basani.
