Single Turbo setup

Haha, we were thinking the emblem looked funny when I drew it up in cad, but it grew on us after a few hours of laughing at it. I was bored on a friday night I guess and had some spare alum laying around.

Yeah he will definately be running an electric boost controller like the Innovative one or similar. What's a VEC3? I'll have to research it, but im interested. Like I said, I know very little about the viper drivetrain, but I can learn. Ok so the stock clutch is crap. I guess i'll be doing a clutch swap in the future...yaaaah!

I may go with some 50 lb injectors. That is assuming the stock ecm runs high imp. injectors and if I even use the stock computer after what everyone is saying.
 
damn, although I was looking forward to stretching my legs on fabbing up the headers and hotside, i'm gonna have to bid on that. Thanks for the 'fo man.

Also gives me an idea of what I'd be looking for should I get the 71000 mile truck at BJ Motors. I did see a silver '04 with 48,xxx miles for just over 20k (20,995 I think).

Iwhen I go with Dom to pick up his truck I will let you know what I think of Justins work. If i really like it, I got dibs on the silver one:D

Interesting that we have yet to see a turbo/twin turbo SRT Ram really crank out some killer 1/4 mile times :dontknow:

Kinda reminds me of our trucks a viper with dumbo ears. Not bad though when ya look at it like that.;)
 
Well, the pro turbo hot side kit is mine for $510. Now im going to have to do some minor mod work to the cold side piping to adapt to the s400.

I'll have to post a pic of the emblem installed. You cant really tell in the pic, but I torched it and put a bend in the emblem so it fits the contour of the hood.

Come on now, 11.4 on my first pass was killer and on a stock clutch!
You will need a A-1000 or greater fuel system to exceed 700 rear wheel. Otherwise, big injectors, SCT or a VEC3 with a 2 bar MAP sensor will get you to the 700 mark.

You and a couple of other guys have had no issues............but hundreds of others have replaced our setups. I would say your, more the exception to the rule........and congrats!

I wouldn't say none...I have had my share of issues. But a clean engine, with the STS and the SCT tuner, by any of us vendors, is a great combo. I have a Night Runner ready to run late this week, going on the dyno. Fully forged. Anytime you talk about boosted levels above 5 psi, you better forged the engine.
 
I received the turbo kit the other day and its missing a piece (the piece with the t6 mount and wastegate flange). Im still trying to work that out with him. The kit says to use a turbosmart gate and the smallest spring those have are a 7psi spring on base boost. Is 7psi too much? I figured 7psi would be a bit much on a s400. I may have to find a custom spring through leespring or something.

Anyways, I was bored the other day and decided to draw/cut some turbo keychains. Theyre pretty neat. Im selling them on another board. If anyone is interested I can send you one for $20 shipped. My paypal is [email protected]. They cnc'ed out of 6061-T6 billet and polished. Here's a pic for kicks. I am thinking of taking the viper/ram logo and putting "viper srt-10" on the back for another style of keychain.



Now I just gotta decide if we're going with the sct or stand alone unit for fueling on his truck.

I'll have to check into that. If its that big of a deal, i'll remove it or give 10% of proceeds to the forums.
 
turbo smart makes a 3 and 5 lb spring, I think the only 1/4 run I got is 11.2 at 16lbs spinnin thru third, summin like that but got 20lbs boost on the track card now;)
