as always.....

I used a gear formula (Unitrax) that he told me was wrong...but I didn't listen....:eek:

here is the correct one...on my 10.7 run...the nitrous shut off 100'- 150' before the line....the controller shuts the juice off at 6200rpm...

well based on a 4.56 and a 31.5" tire...I hit 127.5mph before the line and the computer shut me down....looks like I need to bump that up to 6250....:D

damn...will never argue with the wise one again

Now the headers are another issue. I really find it hard to believe that DC still doesn't recommend headers.:dontknow:

Between the Paxton and a 350 shot of nitrous, that engine is moving a shit load of air. I'm guessing it would pick up at least 50 to 70 hp with the addition of headers.

But then what do I know?:confused: :dontknow: I'm only an ape that was taught how to type.:eek: :D

Mike if you consider the changes you will make with your setup what would be the realistic 1/4 time at Famosa? Take into consideration the extra weight of the roll bars and not taking any accessories out.

Probably wouldn't hurt if he had Striker heads too!:D

In my conversations with Dan, he is pretty adimant about issues created by running headers. There are several things on the engine that need to be shielded/insulated against the heat. This adds a fair amount of time and materials to an install, and the engine compartment starts to look like the guts of the Hubble Telescope. Even though my headers have what I believe is the Jet Hot coating, I have already (or plan to) insulate the starter, plug wire boots, fuel line, steering column coupling boot, A/C lines, heater hoses, intercooler (underside), and most of the supercharger air tubes.
