B&M.

I have driven them both and while the X-Metal shifter works great, the noise is not for me. The B&M is definitely quieter.

Have you ever tried Boomers first shifter......ie gen 1 or is it gen 2? His first runs of those actually used a b&M base. I wonder how close those are to the b&M one?

Dunno, the Gen IV was my 1st aftermarket shifter so I'm not sure.

I drove JMB Justins truck with the B&M and it shifted WAY better than stock and it was quiet. He had just a little bit of resonance ONLY in 6th gear. The Gen IV in mine had it in 2nd 3rd 5th and 6th, and all was louder than Justins.
