Smoked GT Headlight Covers!

So I received my Smoked GT Styling Headlight Covers today! I was disappointed when I realized they are held on with cheap ass velcro! WTF? I was hoping these snapped on or were held in place by another method!

Im just not feeling the velcro! Anyone come up with another method?

Dont use the velcro to hold them on because it don't work Just a couple of small dabs of clear silicone will do the trick:rock: :rock: :rock:

Mine are in the mail, but their for a 05 and say they snap into place. I hope they do and i don't need tape...

Yeah Im gonna go that route this weekend provided I have good weather! I plan on taking off the velcro and masking off everything and going pro!

I run these covers and have no issues at all with the velcro. I would have painted/cooked or tinted/filmed my lights black, BUT, I drive my vehicles day, night, sun, rain or snow so this was not an option. You can't see the velcro. I've posted literally hundreds of images of The Batram on this site, did anyone notice them or point them out? No. Black velcro isn't the best but it's the best option for removable headlight covers for the big bug eyed 06 headlights.

Thanks! lol Nope, I run smoked (so the reverse light housing is darker than stock) LED Recon lights coated with VHT Nite Shades. :rock:

Also used the velcro on mine. No issues until I had to take them off one night. Some of the pieces of velcro came off the cover.
If you dont have to take them off, the velcro won't be an issue.

I have an 06 and looked at those covers -- I didn't like the velcro either. I went with Night Runner composites to replace the OEM chromies. Not a total blackout but the Night Runner assemblies look good on the Inferno Red. Also, looking at the 06 headlight design and how they integrate into the fender/hood/grill, very little if any room for any type of snap on cover.
