Heat sheild is on the wrong side or it is upside down or upside down an backwards. Something doesn't look right there:dontknow: :D

I'm not sure how it happened (factory?), but the exhaust manifold heat shields are on backward.

I should say "were". They're on correctly now.
(props to 94rt10ohio for pointing it out to me)

Here's a pic of the shields installed correctly:

I cleaned them up a bit too. :)

I also double-checked all the exhaust manifold bolts to make sure they were to spec. A few were VERY loose (hand loose). They are now at spec.

Manifold Bolts: 200 in-lbs. (that's INCH-lbs.; not foot-lbs.!!!!!)
Heat Shield Nuts: 50 in-lbs. (that's INCH-lbs.; not foot-lbs.!!!!!)

Anyone else got one?

I will say they look MUCH BETTER on right and cleaned up!!

I checked mine, they're right and left ;)

With all due respect, I think our having these trucks has more to do with Daimler-Chrylser corporation and our employers more so than any country or nationality. :D

I'm sure Wifey was only referring to the common phenomenon of "contents may shift during shipping" as the trucks are TRANSPORTED from Mexico...;)

Ahhh Haaaaah!!! :p maybe they used the "white guy" version of the installation instructions. :dontknow: :dontknow:

Eddie could you get down there to the factory and translate before we end up with our beds on upside down or something! LOL :D ;)
