Some pics of my Escalade

Have you had any problems with it? I bought my wife one (not the ext) about 3 years ago and we had problem after problem with it.....dealer eventually bought it back after 8 months of owership and some strong worded letters from my attorney , we kept having problems with the differential.

No problems here with our '04, except it still has the stock rims!:D

oh, that, and the wife denied me on the STS install!

Too bad you're blowin' your wad on your engine too. I still have the entire kit with the new ECU looking for a good home!;) Adds pretty damned good power to the 6.1l engine... and it actually works!

How much you want for it? I have several buddies who have escapades...oops, I mean escalades!

Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly is STS? I assumed it was an engine upgrade................

It is a turbo system specifically designed to blow motors up.....

Ahem, and now for those of us that don't have dimestore senses of humor and soundbite mentalities.

The STS systems have been working quite well on the other vehicles that they make them for. I have beaten the livin' crap out of our STS equipped Vette for thousands of miles since the install, without issue. (Please don't give me another lecture about the different design equating to failure, monkey man.;) STS has sucessfully proven the concept on many other vehicles.)

The problem lies with the tuning solution, and STS is hardly the only one to experience failures. ALL of the best tuners in the Viper market have had failures. Tuning solutions for turbocharging on this vehicle take substantial R&D, as well as trial and error. (And may I remind all of you that it was Roe Racing that was contracted to develop and test that portion of the STS system.)

I am not trying to make light of the engine failures for the members here who ran the STS system. It hurts the pocketbook just thinking about it. What you don't hear about are those who are still running the system (albeit some have had to go through some troubleshooting that they really shouldn't have been burdened with) who have not had engine problems. But it's much easier to remember the bad stuff, isn't it.

Now, why not get back to beating a redheaded stepchild. Doesn't Hennessey have red hair?

I'm not going to beat you up about this. I hated to see what happened happen to anyone. Well, maybe I would chip in to buy a STS for 1Tall, but that would be as far as I would take it.

Yes, I agree that they work on some cars/trucks, but I believe it's more than just the tune that is causing the failures on our trucks. That's my opinion, and I will stick with it until proven otherwise.;)

You going to have your truck back together in time for a late summer Hooters gathering? :dontknow:

I have the Procharger on the caddy already....it was no walk in the park....made the computer go NUTS..had to take it back like 50 times....finally they figured it out...I just dont think they wanted us strapping blowers on, then being idiots and cranking up the boost to 12 lbs (thats what i did)....computer nightmare....The truck kept going into "safe mode" 25 mph MAX!!!!!try that on I 95 in rush hour!!!!Buncha MAD ASS PEOPLE!

Yes , and the SAT is tracvision....Mike U just are old enough to have been a Vanilla Ice fan.....He was heavily hated upon b the time I came around! I was a little punk skateboarder by then wishin I lived by you....quit hatin...dont you sell edible draws for "big-bonded women"....or is it shampoo?

Thanks Silver.:D

AFAIK, they've made it work well on everything but the SRT-10. As far as Hooters? Time will tell. Todd's just now starting the build. Probably a solid month out before seeing the engine back here.

Uh-oh Blake, check this out. And you were just bitching about your taxes yesterday too. LOL
