some pictures

I really need to finish my tail lights I love that blacked out light look on silver and black trucks.

how did you paint the lights without loosing all the chrome. Mine just peeled off.

Was I an inspiration to this mod......? It's ok if I was :)

thanks everybody, i almost didn't do it but im glad i did.
How did paint your headlights, and is there any chance of moisture getting inside?
i put them in the kitchen oven for 15 minutes then pry them open, i then taped the parts that were gonna stay chrome sanded and painted the rest, after the paint dry i put them back in the oven for about 5-10 minutes then i just put them back together, i used a hot glue gun around were the two parts meet as a precaution. and yes i guess if the two pieces don't seal right moisture can get inside.

nice touch

PS hehe, my hoodscoop is already black :p :D :D :D ( so were ALL the fastests ones coming from the factory... )

04 do a search there are a few write ups about how to do this, its super easy.

You've got to be carefull with the chrome it is very delicate.

Looks damn good...Really nice touch...Like the idea of blacking the top of the SRT letters...Nice touch...I bought this winter the grill and blackout headlights can't wait to put them on...Looke killer man...

its really easy, just remove the four 10mm nuts on the bottom, pry the front of the scoop up (i used a flat tip screwdriver) there are four little clamps holding it then just pull it forward (wiggle it a little while pulling) then just put it back in reverse order.

i used krylon fusion for plastic, picked it up at pep boys for $6.00 and it turn out real nice and shiny.

there might be a better way to do it:dontknow: but thats the way i dit it:D
