Soon to be owner...

The CarMax in Laurel (5 minutes away) just got one in. They want too much for it but at least I can test fit everything this time.

Hey Bro I am 6'6" 290lbs and I fit just fine! I have no issues what so ever being comfortable in my 06 QC!

Last night I went and saw the QC I've been wanting to get. However, because it was such a long drive away and so late at night I forgot a couple of things. I wanted to see how comfortable it is in the back for someone over 6'2", as well as see how much room is left for the front passenger when there is a car seat behind them. Problem is the guy lives about 5 hours from me, and I have barely enough time to make it the halfway distance I did last night.

So I was wondering if there is anyone with an 06 QC that lives near the Fort Meade MD area that would let me 'test fit' everything for about 5~10 minutes. I don't mind driving a little to meet up but anything past about 45 minutes away is going to be too far for now.

Well I may not be getting this truck now. The deal has gone pretty sketchy and I'm going to end up having to find one elsewhere. Anyone know anybody selling an 06 QC at a dealership? I already scour ebay, autotrader, carmax, cars, and vehix .com. I'm looking to spend less than 25k and get a decent value on my trade-in, dealing with private sellers has been too much of a headache... and delaying me getting a truck. Dealing with dealerships has been just as bad in a different way, since they never want to negotiate...

Hatedonmostly, did you get your truck just outside the Ft Meade gates? I remember seeing a black RC at a dealership for a couple weeks, it has to be a QC for me.

Na I bought mine at carmax while ago, But It's been in ft meade tho. Cop at my work lives in there.

Alright, I'm pretty sure I want to get this one but wanted to know what you guys thought about this. Just had it checked with a Dodge mechanic who said the following...

battery needs replaced
front brakes will need replaced pretty soon
rear shocks will need replaced
timing cover leaking oil - this sounds really bad to me, will this be a permanent problem?
axle rear needs servicing, shudders
trans flush will be needed soon

Nothing major in my mind. It does indicate that the previous owner was not much for preventative maintenance.

Did the mechanic do a a compression check?

I assume so, he did a 'used car check' for $150.00. So the oil leak is repairable?

Well the dealership service manager talked to the Dodge service manager (inspector)... the dealership is going to fix all the problems, minus brakes, before I receive it.

Should be picking it up next Monday... finally!

Hey bro, Let me know when you pick it up. Have to meet up with ya.

Picked it up two days ago in FL, despite a couple problems in the paint/body it's exactly what I wanted. So far I have discovered it has the Borla exhaust (big single rectangle pipe) and Bassani headers (stamped on). I came across the exhaust and headers during the inspection and the salesman had no idea it was aftermarket.

How can I find out what else it may have come with?

Also, it has already popped a P0432 code, so I'm already going to have to take it in to get that fixed. Could it be that the catalytic converters were removed? If so, I'd prefer to just keep it like that but how would I keep the code from returning?

That is a CAT efficiency code. You should look to see if you have any cats on it. If not, check to see if it has any type of sims on it. You can get the mechanical sims from JMB or just make them yourself.
