One day at a time my friend, Hang in there.tinygiants said:Well, it has been a tuff week since my last treatment. I started feeling better on Saturday.
So now the mental process of prepping for my next treatment begins. I just have to keep focused on the fact that 2 are down and 10 to go, and on Wednesday I can say 3 down with 9 to go![]()

tinygiants said:Well, I did all I can do today. I went to work, then I went to the gym. I did not have much in the way of effort, but I went. Physically, I am spent. Emotionally, I feel better for having gone.
I did it, I fought back today. Today I was a winner. Now it is nap time.
Thank you for posting this.Overclocker said:Just read the entire thread. I've been there, man. 1 Port, 1 bone marrow biopsy, 1 surgical mass biopsy, 6 months, 8 chemos and 25 rads. You have much better odds than I did and I'm still here. You also have the same bone-headed, bring-it attitude I had about this. "I did it. I fought back today. Today I was a winner." You are going to be fine. This is a fixable condition. This is the attitude one must have, and you seem to have it. I too had a wonderful supportive spousal-unit and family. I continued with my daily run and went to work after treatments in order to maintain a level of normalcy and raise a middle finger to this disease. And you're not alone in having those questions about what to do with this gift of a second chance. Sunny days are much more beautiful, grass is much greener, smiles are sweeter. Little things don't matter. One of the things I do now is volunteer for the American Cancer Society. I try to give back a little now.
Late in my treatments, I found that Pepcid was a wonder drug for the nausea. Neulasta is tha bomb and I had the same pain with it. Better than the alternative. For some reason, it's hard to see the keyboard. And my nose is running. Stupid allergies...
Peace be with you...
