What is the stock spark plug gap on a 2006 QC SRT10? Engine is bone stock and I am installing a set of NGK Iridium plugs that have the same heat range as OEM. NGK site said pre-gapped at .044 but that seems more than what I thought it would be for a stock engine. .035 maybe?

Thanks!

its on you spare battery holder... read the emission label it'll be posted I believe its .45...why are you changing from the champions...I'll warn you, I get dodge's in all the time with non-champion plugs...these vehicle for some reason only like champions

Thanks for the reply. I have used the NGK Iridium plugs in the past with success meaning the hold up very as well as making a difference in helping the engine idle much smoother but that is from my G.M. days and I have no experience with these Viper engines as I just bought the truck. I had some unused parts on my shelf that I needed to return to Auto Zone and they would only exchange so I picked up some wax, cleaning supplies, and spark plugs. Although it does not bother me too much, this V-10 engine at idle has a noticeable rough idle compared to my old 6.0 L engines but not bad. I heard of another member using these plugs on his Viper with no issues but I have not checked back in a while to see if he developed any problems.

You say you have seen people have problems with non Champion plugs at your dealership...what type of problems did your customers have? Fouling or other issues? What is the average life span on a stock Viper engine using Champions? Any other comments would be appreciated.

Thanks!

i still have the original plugs at 23k. have a set and plan to change out in the next few weeks. the drivers side rear plugs are a Pain in the Ass. for some reason, non-champion plugs cause running issues, idle issues, check engine lights. good luck...BTW, you have 8.3 liters vs your GM 6.0 liters and the Viper engine does not that smooth, its a high performance engine
