Less noise (ECM), better shielding (less chance of wire firing another wire or noise on radio/gps/etc), less resistance, and better chance of a good spark. Not necessarily and change in HP, but there could be. Insurance (possible performance increase) and looks are what MSD brings to the table.

I need to replace the MSD's that were left on my engine for the dyno/burn-in, since they fried in the process (no boot protectors). Fortunately my engine is still out of the vehicle, so it won't be quite as bad.![]()
