SPEC Clutch Makes the Grade...

I installed the SPEC Stage 3+ and after doing the 500 mile breakin can say it beats the CenterForce hands down. The clutch pedal is much lighter and engages about 3" from the floor...CF engaged about half way...

The most impressive part was a run shifting from 2nd to 3rd....I would accelerate to 30mph in 2nd gear then nail the throttle...rear wheels would immediatley start screaming....the tach and speedometer would rapidly climb....at 6K RPM I would shift to 3rd.....

You have to remember here that while the tach was red lining and the speedo was showing 60mph+ the truck was actually only moving ahead at about 40MPH...

With the CF a shift to 3rd immediatley caused clutch slippage due to engine torque overpowering the clutch due to the slow speed for 3rd..

Today when I shifted to 3rd the clutch locked and the rear tires continued to smoke thru 3rd.....:rock: :rock: :rock: :burnout:

The truck shifts better and just feels more solid running thru the gears now...best it ever felt.....going to the drag strip Sat...looking for mid 11s..:elefant: :elefant: :burnout:

LOL no I was running the CF... have a brand new SPEC sitting around waiting for my trans.
