In a speed density engine management application, a more aggressive cam results in less vacuum at idle and light load. This lower vacuum causes the Power Control Module (PCM) to run too rich. The Cam Tuner corrects the fuel curve for the correct fuel mixture at light load.[/FONT]

A table is provided in the installation instructions that show where to set the adjustment for different idle vacuum readings. Users who have a scan tool can set the Cam Tuner exactly by adjusting for balanced short term and long term fuel trim values.[/FONT]
