PSC1-003
for tuning for larger cams
wires into the m.a.p. sensor and chages signal/voltage
does not retard timing

Cam Tuner
The Cam Tuner is a plug-and-play solution that compensates for the installation of an aggressive cam. It will work on the Dodge Hemi, SRT-10 and Viper applications. It is designed to be an easy-to-use solution that end users can install and adjust themselves.
A more aggressive cam profile is a tried and true way to improve performance. In a speed density engine management application, a more aggressive cam results in less vacuum at idle and light load. This lower vacuum causes the Power Control Module (PCM) to run too rich. The Cam Tuner corrects the fuel curve for the correct fuel mixture at light load.
The Cam Tuner features a single internal adjustment that can be used to fine tune for a wide range of cam profiles. A table is provided in the installation instructions that show where to set the adjustment for different idle vacuum readings. Users who have a scan tool can set the Cam Tuner exactly by adjusting for balanced short term and long term fuel trim values.
The Cam Tuner can be installed or uninstalled in seconds. It does not cause any trouble codes and its operation does not leave any trace that it was ever there. The Cam Tuner is not a PCM re-flash solution. It is an embedded control solution that works seamlessly with the stock PCM. When set correctly, the Cam Tuner establishes the correct fuel mixture at light load which restores the original high fuel economy, low emissions and quick throttle response of the stock engine.

Have you tried it yet?

Does it interface with the Vec 2/3?

How much is it?

:D

No, installing it on my hemi tomorrow.

No.

I got it from Bob Miller for about 250 delivered.

Cool. I live near Bob. I'll have to talk to PBJ and see if it will work for me. ;)
Worked great for me today with my Hemi. No idle issues, no knocking, seems to pull harder and launch better. I haven't talked to Bob yet about it. Different truck now! I used a scan-tool to monitor long and short trim on both sides of the engine. Not hard to do. Give me a call if you get one. Taliban Dan had to educate me on it first.

This seems very interesting. Does some make a custom cam for the supercharged applications?

You wouldnt need this with the vec 2/3....it would be a piggy back on a piggy back :p

The cam tuner plugs into the map sensor and adjust the map voltage. Does the Vec do that?
yes ;) ..map voltage can be manipulated, I made myself a schematic of how I can do the same thing as the SS cam tuner. I have used it for about 8 months now w/ the 708 cam.

Are you changing the base fuel calibration?
Or the Intake Air temp Fuel correction?
Post up the details!

PBJ said the same thing to me today. VEC does the same thing as this kit (plus a lot more).;)
Details! Are they taking out msecs for a specific voltage which corresponds to a temperature?

Sorry man, you are talking over my head. I have no idea.

All I know is Joe said the VEC does the same thing. :dontknow:

You guys are teases! The VEC has limitations in CLSD loop so details would be nice on the process.
