Spoiler molded into factory style hard cover

Yes ive seen it done, One of my friends on rumblebee.org, he and his son molded the wing to be bed cover, it looked pretty slick, but he said it took a lot of work to make it look right. I'm looking for pics, but their site seems to be down right now.

I had this cover (Pro Sport) on my Harley F-150 back in 2002. However, I'm not sure that the company is still in business. If not, too bad, because I thought it was the best looking cover ever made.

That's a awesome alternative to the OEM one but I still think ya gotta give it to the OEM.

i just dont like the stuck on look of the factory spoiler on the factory hard cover.(mainly because of the lame a$$ hard covers with spoilers that everybody sports on their stock v8 pickup)...im thinking of taking my hard cover off and finding a factory 2 post wing or maybe a daytona wing???....pics of a reg cab with daytona wing anybody???

member rbabody has a silver RC in his garage pics with a daytona wing on it.

Anyone seen or done a molded in spoiler on the hard cover like the one on the concept Ram srt10??

Anyone have areo/wind tunnel info for the spoiler?...I know when the 10 ram was devolved the did sum pretty extensive areo R&D...Its going to be a huge project to do mine in alum and if i decide to do it i would like to do some homework before i start..

That molded in Wing looks pretty bad@ss!!!!!

I know right! I was trying to talk him into doing mine, but he said it was pretty hard to mold the wing into the cover, and it takes someone with pretty small hands for all the sanding! He basically said he wouldn't do another one! Pain in the ass!! But it looks pretty dang cool!

That is why I did mine the way I did. I started with the plan of molding it in and just decided to make the cover shape match the wing.

Hey sorry to reply to an old post but I have the same tonneau cover. How did you get that spoiler flush like that. Mine is about 1/4 in too long on both sides, did you cut the spoiler?

When we did SRT10 tonneau covers at the dealership I used to work at, we would sublet it to a body shop and they cut the wing in the center and molded it back together. I don't recommend this because it does weaken the wing and at high speeds 120+mph the wing would break where it was cut down. Don't ask me how I know this...... :D Your best bet would be to buy a 3 post wing.

Hey thanks...actually I just got a 3 post wing but I have the same cover in the above pic. So I'm guessing the center post would need to be ground down or something?

You have a 3 post wing that still doesn't fit the cover?
