I've always had a squeak that is quite loud when the slider is open. The tonneau muffled it a bit. Now that I have all new leaf springs, I'm ruling out the suspension because the sound didn't change.

I can't push, pull, or shake anything to force the squeak to find it. It only happens while I'm driving. Each little bump triggers a "cheep" from under or around the bed somewhere.:dontknow:

Someday when I find it, I'm going to empty a can of lithium grease on it.

Are you sure its not the cal-tracs? Mine squeek on sharp bumps.

RC leafs are much beefier than ours Mike and would definately help your problem....

I also have the same squeek, tried everything.
Checked every bed bolt, tailgate, leaf springs couldnt find it.
I think it might be the exhaust....Maybe hitting the rear bumper.

Will let you guys know if I find it, please let me know as well.

yes they will fit fine ..i have R C leaf springs with slapper on my 2005 QC, rides a little stiffer and the handling is munch inproved....boomer set me up with them last year when i did his lowering kit.......i also changed the rate of my front springs (munch stiffer)so i don't get that dipping of the front end...handling in like night and day to what it was....

I had a weird rattle/squeek that was eliminated when I installed JMB Justins stage one traction kit. I guess the leafs where somehow causing it. The kit clamps the leafs against each other and now I have no noise. Price of kit was worth it just for that purpose alone...............I hate f#cking rattles!

I had a small squeak for a long time ....finally just shot it and got a new one

Actually what it probably is Mr. Brady is there are pads between each leaf in the pack.
more than likely one is worn, missing , or it could have dirt under thepad.

Not much of a fix, other than replacement, although if you have a hi press washer, take and lift the back of the truck , let the axle swing,and spray between all the leafs, that sometimes would cure it

Mine also squeeked with the caltack's, the leaf was rubbing against the side of the cal traks bracket. Just sprayed some lube on it.
