SRT-10 vs an oak tree

Sorry to hear about the loss! Im glad everyone is ok and I hope your son learned his lesson.

Seen a video of a SRT wrecking on streetfire and wheel fell off that one too. What gives?
Ya that sucks...but as someone said, it's just a truck(it can always be replaced). Glad everyone's ok. Just wondering but hows the motor?

I felt worse for my son than I did for the truck. The truck can be replaced. A stupid decision like his could haunt him for a long time. Jail time. Possible loss of license. Heavy court fines. Lawyer fees. Greatly increased insurance. Loss of trust with his parents. (At least for awhile). Could even affect him in applying for future jobs. Oh yeah, he just lost his vehicle because I now need something to drive...

Experience comes from making mistakes. I'm willing to bet my left nut, this is a mistake he will never make again.

MAN NO ONE HAS ASKED HOW'S THE TREE?????????
I KNOW OVER HERE IF YOU HIT A TREE OR BRAKE A LITTLE BRANCH ON IT YOU GET FINE FOR XXXXXX AMOUNT OF MONEY....DID THIS HAPPEN TO YOU?>

Glad to hear that he is OK, that is obviously what is important here. Yeah, it was a dumb decision, but also a decision that many of us would have probably made at that age. Don't be too hard on the boy, but do show him the error of his ways.

Sorry to hear about that, but glad everyone os ok.

most likley we would of done the samething sometime or another. it sucks but trucks can be replaced and kids can't.

That Sucks Bro!!! Sorry To See That!!! Well you could get a good insurance policy on him and then..............where'd he go!!!!:)

Dont worry about him being emotionally disturbed by this. Who can brag to their friends (when this is funny a few yrs from now) that they wrecked an exotic supertruck.

That is a good point. There will be a time in the future where father and son will share a beer and laugh about this.

Hey dad, you remember the time I "borrowed" your truck and hit the tree.

Yeah, I remember.

You remember how long you left my ass sitting in jail.......:(

Well, you get the idea.:D :p

The funny thing is that my wife wanted to leave him in jail longer than I did...

Maybe I could relate. I know I did my share of "stupid" things when I was his age. The only difference was that I never got that "free" ride in the back of a police car.

Makes me glad I did all my own damage.

That really blows

Good Luck on making it right

Sorry about your truck.

I am glad to hear that there was no permanent damage done to another human being. I know a fellow who was drinking and driving, had a one car accident, and killed the passsenger, his best friend. That was 12 years ago and I don't know if he will ever get over that experiance. Sometimes things like this can be a good thing, although it may not seem so at this time for your son.

Being a good parent is not easy, and kids come with no experiance to back their thinking/decisions up. Hopefully this will change his life for the better and this is as bad as it will ever get.

Holy Sh*t!!!!!! So sorry to hear this Rick. At least no injuries. Thank god he is not down where I live. They would charge him with attempted murder.

Wow... Seeing this reminds me of the incident that i ran into a year ago..My lil brother(18) had taken my truck for a joyride down to school to showoff without my permission. He ended backing up into somebody when his foot slipped off the clutch. THe damage wasnt too bad, however the point i wanted to make to my brother is why the hell did he even grab it to begin with. In the end after the $1800 dollars worth of damage I realized that it could have been much worse. He could have wrecked it or killed himself or another person. I wish to make it a point to every one to keep an eye on your keys, you could be saving your truck and someones life. ..RIck, i apoligize i didnt share my story sooner, this tragedy could have been averted.. Best wishes to your son and getting new truck

Sorry to hear about ur truck, but it can be replaced. Glad to hear ur boy is ok. Everything will work it self out just a pain to go through. I have been down that road to everyone makes mistakes but u never do it again, hence the name....... good luck with everything.

Glad to hear everyone is ok. That's the most important part.

I wouldn't worry too much about the truck.
Looks like it'll buff right out.
