Just glad to see this thread pop up every once in a while. IMO it's an important topic. We should even consider starting a sanctioning body to validate trucks or certify their origin/history of ownership. Any buyer/seller could be confident they are getting what is represented by looking up the VIN on this list. :dontknow:BigRed460 said:

I just have other passions. I should have it finished, again, in 30 days. All polished crap, AEM, 522", strikers, 8k billet tranny, bullet proof rear, slicks, etc.
Mine is still on there. I'll probably adjust the price up a bit after my planned mods/tuning are done next month. I'm sure it wont sell but since its $55 for an ad that runs forever its a great deal.

I am relatively new here and young but would like to project my opinion on this issue of value and this truck. Of course most of us paid probably what we would consider above the level of a decent price for a truck. But what we all have to remember is why we did this, me personally I loved them since I saw the first one roll out on the stage. As far as value, well that really depends on to many variables in a formula that we cannot understand. Such things as: people’s personal feelings and wants, the economic stand point of the country and new things such as gas prices rising and the minimum income not rising and finally the push recently by the government for consumers to buy more efficient vehicles. I’m not saying I agree or disagree but the value will only be justified by the actions of the future. No matter what, what must be realized here is we all did what we did because we wanted to, for some of us it was a natural want for the item because it was different and interesting and others, just a fun toy for a time period. No matter what happens I want mine and always did, I’ll replace 100% of the parts on her to keep her running. Right now is really not even the best time to look at the value of these trucks due to other truck concepts coming out and in reality it just hasn’t been long enough for them to accrue value upwards. In 5 years that’s more reasonable because then there will be no new trucks still out there, they will all be in some form and shape used plus who the hell knows what Dodge, Chevy and or Ford ect will come up with. I don’t think for a second that these companies are going to stop producing there srt, svt and ss models. The horse power and torque only have one place to go and that’s up so worring about the present is not a good idea, id be more worried about the future because the only thing that distinguishes these trucks from others is the engine to the consumer. I say if you want your money build it up in the next few years and keep it competitive with newer models and take good care of it then sell it yourself. Or do like me and just hold on to it until it literally cannot be fixed anymore and then try and sell, I’m getting ever cent out of buying mine everyday I drive it and I’m a proud beer drinking, chain smoking, gas guzzling owner and will continue to be until they either make something worse or I blow mine up. As for value I believe they will hold true but it will be a while before we see that.
