IMHO It's personal preference.

Permastar, either their chrome or black chrome, are some sharp wheels

PermaStar...Same look as chrome, with none of the drawbacks(fading, peeling, scratching) or maintenance. I have had 2 sets and love them!

i had polished aluminum centerlines on 94 chevy and it only took one time to park by the water sprinklers before the sodium or whatever in the water left permanent water spots! i would go permastar

It's not a wheel, but rather a coating that is applied to the stock wheel.

Yes, you send them your stock wheels. I believe the cost is still around $180/wheel. What gets you though is the shipping. I live in NC, and to ship 4 22" wheels to CA is $$$$$!
