Hey lads,

Just a quick question, on the SRT10 rams (specifcally the Night Runner), how hard is it to remove the factory hard cover/lid? (What is the correct term BTW?). I'm just curious as if I needed to haul something big or take a decent load, or even throw my dog Max up there, how long does it take to remove? :dontknow:

I'm hoping it's an easy 30 second job but have my doubts. I'm guessing a spanner and 5 minutes is more than likely the case. I know they raise up but I obviously can't keep my dog in there lol and I can't carry anything tall or large. Any photos of the hard lid up too would be appreciated. I have no idea how far you can raise them using the hydraulics?

Thanks,
Carl

I was going to say: "read the manual dude" but since you're still looking for it
I'm letting you go this time :D
Bedcover goes off easy: loosen up both pumps near the tailgate + unscrew 2 bolts near the cab to release it from the bed. take it off with 2 people.
Haven't done it myself (I need my downforce wing :D ) but it shouldn't be more then a 10 min job.

Thanks mate, :burnout: That's what I was thinking, oh well, still not too bad will just have to make sure I know exactly what I'm picking or hauling before I head out. I don't think I'll carry big stuff to make me remove it, was just curious is all. Thanks for your help, and yes, still looking for my Night Runner and have found my lead....waiting for a friend to inspect it.

Couple of quick questions:

1) - When people talk about "RB4" what are they referring to?

2) - People often talk about brake dust, is this quite a major thing is it? Does it shred excessive dust? Can this problem be fixed by buying different pads? Cause I also saw in a thread something about break squeal too so hopefully the new brakes will hit two birds with one stone.

Thanks and sorry about the newb question. If anyone has any questions about E-Bodies I'd be more than happy to help. :D

1) One disc Navigation Radio (in dash)
2) don't have brake dust problems, rims are black powdercoated :D
Maybe others can chime in.

Thanks, as I am looking for a Night Runner I don't think I'll have a problem either as the rims are shadow chrome? or dark grey or something lol. :)

My brakes both squeaked and dusted like crazy... I bought some pads from Zeckhausen and the brake dust was reduced by about 85-90%. Very easy to change out too!

Need to say that it is a mortal sin to carry anything other than air in the bed of these trucks, with one exception...I have a RC and my dog rides with me...if my wife wants to come too, she can ride in the truck bed...but nothing else goes there!:elefant:

I think if you toggled the NOS switch of that bottle I heard the "booooom" from here! hahaha, but you could still put a "NOS sticker on it, you would fool a lot of "tuners" hahaa
