SRT's Kill Rousch Mustang

Motor Trend times seemed a little slow for the GC based on what I have seen around the forums....13.7 for the QC is a doable but is slightly higher than average (for 100% stock)....again I cant remember what the top speed was on a GC SRT8...

I wasn't gonna say anything, but ..............

My truck had about 600 ponies at the rear tire and was in perfect mechanical condition when I sold it. Taking that experience into consideration, as well as the power to weight ratios of a 351 Saleen, C6 Z06s, 2003-4 Cobras and many of the other vehicles mentioned being killed here..... I find a great deal of incredulity in all of this.

The only reasonable conclusion (as duly noted here) is that some effete mamas boys with expensive toys and no driving skills got shut down by a 5000lb truck with a 450 ponies.

So fkn what......?

The insinuation is that SRT-10's with very few mods can shut down a S351 Saleens and 500hp Z06s?....... Sorry, but I'll call bullshit on that all day long. Unless of course those cars are being driven by Dr.'s Joyce Brothers and Ruth fkn Westheimer.

yeah i took em by lots.. those cobras arent much stock.. you have to watch out for the modded ones.
Stock for stock Cobras are faster than RC, assuming same driving skills...not many RC running 12.6-8 stock.

Actually 13.5-13.7 is what a stock QC is capable of, I know I read of a few guys on here that did 13.5@103-105mph bone stock in thier QC's, but I'm not sure what the record is. Like I said the QC isn't gonna beat the GC in E.T., but I'm pretty sure it traps higher than the GC, so after the 1/4mile the one with the higher trap speed will start to pull. The GC has a good e.t. from the AWD, but the top end the AWD slows it down. Maybe some other QC owners with good stock times can chime in here.

I was going by past timeslips on this forum...the fastest completely stock QC was eventorque at 13.7..unless I missed one...I have never seen a QC get under low 14s here at Bristol but Bristol is a slow track......I have driven many GCs and QCs....the Jeeps are just amazingly fast........not that the QCs arent.....having driven both I would put my money on the Jeep for 1320 and top end..:dontknow: ;)

My best time is a 13.88 ... with consistant 14.0s. I think that's as good as my QCs gonna get stock:dontknow: but I do have a 06 which is a bit heavier than an 05 i think

King Of the SRT's is the jeep IMO...they are just wicked.. now my rc could chase down my buddys SRT8 Jeep after about 60mph.. i start reeling him in.....and i'v had my @$$ handed to me by a 04 Cobra.. it wasn't anywhere near stock but still i saw his tail lights fade.....that was the 3rd day i had my truck so i didn't have any skill at all shifting it

Well Blaine has a 12.74@109under his belt, and judging by the other guys running 12's-low 13's in thier stock RC's with 107-109mph trap speeds, I say the king of the SRT trucks is still the RC 10's. The GC just can't match the RC's e.t. and trap speeds.

LX SRTs will still take it in the 1320..barely......with good launch of course..
