Beyond the Sun....
Today out of curiosity while visiting my family I decided to take a ride over to Cedar Rapids Dodge (Bob Mickey CR Dodge) on Highway 100/Collins Road in Cedar Rapids.

The primary reason for going over their was to try and cut a deal while I was here for my sister to help her get into a better vehicle, and better loan/lease terms...

I have never dealt with such a greedy dealership ever before...... even my deals with previous Mitsusbishi be considered wonderful.. and I got what I got a crappy deal with them... but compared to this encounter....I'd take that deal anyday....

They offered her over $1,000 below the trade value of "LOW" on Kelly Blue Book, and refused to move off of retail price on the truck that she was looking at.... they then quoted her lease prices that were way out of whack, 48 months @ $507, with $12k in residual... inlcluding all the rebates...for a truck that has a MSRP of around $22k!!!!! I was like OMG!!

So if you ever are looking to buy a vehicle, don't do it from CR Dodge...plain and simple.. unless your looking to grease up, bend over, and take it sideways....

So we will be doing the deal with Avondale Dodge in Phoenix, I thought that I woud just at least allow a "local" dealer make the sale, and help out the local area... but as you can see... all CR Dodge wants to do is pad their pockets...

I haven't met a dealer I liked yet.................

I was trying to find the clip from Jim Carrey's "Liar, Liar" where he retrieves his car from the impound yard and finds that they put a big scratch in it..... The one where he admits he's ultimately gonna have to "Bend over and take it up the tailpipe"...... But I couldn't find it.....

Here's one that's even better... Although, I must admit that it has nothing at all to do with rotten, cornholing, slipshod and dishonest car dealers..... It is one of the funny scenes I've ever seen....

Sorry................

The ONLY dealer that I have found that I like is Avondale Auto Group (Avondale Dodge)... which is Patricks (Dragons) dealership that he works for... they are the BEST and TOP one that I have ever done business with period.

Check out Hunter Dodge, Lancaster, Calif. service rep Barry Fulp, he loves our trucks and is a great guy.

He's the only person I permit near my truck and he personally takes care of it.

That is why I have gone to ordering my vehicles online from a Bill P. Local dealers try to rip you....

I've purchased a 2003 Mustang Cobra, 2001 Viper GTS, 2005 Nissan Xterra, traded for a 2004 stock SRT Ram, all great experiences with Bill P over the past 4 years or so.

However, when my SRT Ram motor blew while they were dynoing it and that whole fiasco started, I wont ever go back to them again.

I bought my '06 Ram from a small Dodge dealership in Limon, Colorado (on my weekly route from Goodland to Denver). Salesman is a fellow NASA/SCCA racer so that helped to have something in common. Anyway, its nice to be greeted when I come in, pay more then fair prices for oil changes, timely maintanence stuff, etc and have that "special" kind of treatment that you dont usually get in the big city(cities).

who is bill p someone please pm me with the info.

Bill Pemberton of Woodhouse Dodge in Omaha, NE. I spoke to him before purchasing my truck in Ringgold.

I also recommend Bill Pemberton, that is where I bought the ram from, I almost bought an 04 SRT-10 Viper from him too, 7K miles, black, few mods for 50K + he would have delivered it to my doorstep for 1/2 price 300.00 ( 580 mile trek ) I'm hoping to find a nice 06 black and silver striped viper coupe, the second he gets one, I will be giving him a call.
