So I had an issue with Mid range door speakers (original OEM 2006) they would work sometimes, Just replaced all speakers with "Kicker speakers" same problem, tweeters and Sub working only? Any suggestions? thewelshm
Are you still using the OEM CD Player/Radio for a Source? Either something cratered inside that OR the AMP OR the wiring to/from these components. This link contains the Pinouts for the OEM Amp: https://www.google.com/search?q=inf...0IDQIHc2oCWwQ9QF6BAgEEAE#imgrc=qwFkEJ7WOV1pmM It looks like the AMP uses separate pins for separate Speakers (understandable) so each Speaker type will receive ONLY the frequencies they should; similar to a Crossover Network on Home Stereo Speakers, but more complicated.
Stock amp may be giving up the ghost. I know Kicker sold and OEM replacement amp..(77KICK18AB). I have this and it complements my OEM Kicker speaker upgrade very well. Its been discontinued.. like almost everything else for our trucks but I have had luck calling around or searching the crevasas of the internet.
check the door wiring harness. I lost my back door speakers due to broken wiring, and those harnesses can be had online.
great it was the amp not speakers so I changed the head unit for an Android compatible set up good to go mate.. thewelshm
That's a 10" woofer, correct? What size are the door speakers? I want to replace all of mine, except for the ones in the dash. What type of amp are/did you go with?
You have 10 wonderful speakers in the form of a V you don't need any static from some other electronic toy. OR maybe you just need a louder exhaust
Much to my surprise (and maybe yours'), I have a shiny new U/D Pulley in my possession. As promised I will ship it to you, but I don't get back until mid-Feb. I'll let you know when it's on it's way. I still have your address unless you have moved since the last time you provided it to me. I guess this should have gone in a PM but it's too late now! Yesterday I swallowed 2 pieces of String. This morning they came out tied. I shit you knot...
Oh Wow that is good news, I am glad your string was tied.....ah off subject there sorry. I am pleased you have the UD pulley Wahoo! I have unfortunately put my truck through a fence backwards...well round and round and is going to be getting some new parts. Oops my bad, no excuses, really bad days since. Insurance will fix. So far their approved parts supplier has failed to find some parts, as they only deal off Dodge lol. So it looks like I will be helping them. Looks like a long road.
Pretty embarassing really. 45 years driving and hooning around , raced and rallyed cars and trucks and never been a problem. Then this.
Shit happens man, we have all wrecked some. I put an srt-8 magnum in a ditch just driving down the interstate in the rain. Totaled it. Then a dude pulled out in front of my wife and totaled her srt-8 charger. These things just happen. you fix it or buy a new one. and the world keeps turning.
Don't beat yourself up. As above: Shit happens (whether you think it will or won't). You have a shiny new pulley on the way (left this afternoon). It won't fix the fence or the back of your SRT-10, but it IS shiny and will unleash some "free" power when you bolt it on.
