Stinker, my wife and the lady next door...

First off, I want to say Stink you are so great to deal with. Ordering parts is very straight forward and Tony really came through with a great price on parts/shipping.:rock: :rock: :rock:

I had a four hour flight delay yesterday, due to snow and ice fog. Not a big deal, but Mrs. oldcolt got to see Stink's invoice first!! Not a problem though, she said "that's all?" Damn...I should have gotten more!!!

At 8:30pm I went out to the garage and started my 10. I had been away for weeks and just needed a fix. Within moments the lady next store called to complain about the noise. Well that called for a few extra blips of the throttle to show her who's who.

Mrs. oldcolt then came out to the garage and put a real damper on things. Something about getting arrested the day before our trip to California would screw up the kids......act your age (44)..... blah blah blah.

oldcolt jr. came out to the garage and said "cool". That's all that matters!!!

The fine lady next door won't even let her husband ride in the truck. Maybe I should take her for a drive in my '73 Colt, 75bhp might be more her speed!!

My son and I did a 5000km road trip this summer in the truck. He is a total car nut now. We had nowhere to go, just picked a place on the map each day and drove. :rock: :rock: :rock:

A story from the road trip;

My son (11) and I are sitting outside of a Dairy Queen in a small town having ice cream. A local dude pulls in with a done up older Chev 1/2 ton and parks next to the 10. There was a bit of a crowd haging out and buddy does a burn-out in the parking lot on the way out. Now I pay no mind (open diff one wheel smoking), but my son is all over it. He see's my reaction and looked confused. I quietly say to him "we'll show them how it's done". We finish up, get in the truck and lay rubber from one end of the lot to the other.....just as the cops roll in. The cop got boxed in by a motorhome and we were gone. Yup, 44 going on 16!!!
