Stock cats?

Ok a question for anyone that knows.
What is in our Factory cats? What type of metal? I have my old stock ones just laying around, I cut up the piping to fabricate an exhaust for an off road truck and am just going to take the rest to the metal recycling place and want to know what is in them cause some Cats are worth BIG $$$$.
Any help would be great fellas
