After "seeing the light" with my new found excitement about having my truck retuned by someone who specializes in its art I remember having a blown motor sitting in my garage.
It got me thinking about the extra set of heads sitting on it doing nothing. My thinking was that I could send the heads to Joe of Performance by Joe and get them worked on so when I have the truck retuned possibly in a month or two and the lowering kit installed they'd be already done and waiting for me. He mentioned that it wouldnt take much to get another solid 30-40 horses and would depend on my budget. I dont have a whole lot of extra to spend (I really dont have any but y'all know how that goes) but since he's doing the tune and the heads arent doing anything on the other motor anyway maybe I should get something fairly simple done to them.
I'd love to get the Strykers (Strikers) but thats not gonna happen. Since I already have another set of stock heads the only additional cost would be the porting and labor to install them and whatever else has to be done.
So, what kind of performance increase on a blower motor can be had from these heads? I'd also be looking at the performance increase per dollar to try and justify to myself the need to get it done or simply get the VEC and a tune as well as the lowering kit.
