I got my heads today and they look beautiful, but i got a question did anyone decide to send them out and have the ridges smoothed out of the intake/combustion camber/ and exhaust ports that where made from the cnc process. Or you slap them on there. also some ports have small cast defects(air bubbles) did you have them expoxied and smoothed. That mans work it top notch im still stunded by the details.

if there is imperfections have em fixed up... no sense spending 8k and putting them on half assed.. have em cleaned up bro

You could call Jeff if you have concerns but they flow as advertised, as is.
I installed mine the way they came.
I didn't see ANY air bubbles or flaws in mine...
If you have any concerns like castings, I would have Jeff either replace or "fix" them rather than sending them out to someone that (a higher than average chance here) has NEVER seen them before... I would be VERY particular about something like that...

330 c.f.m. @28 with nice gains, mid-lift. They will go to 400 with additional porting...
Side note- That LS1 style chamber works very well and burns WAY cleaner than o.e.m.

man your going to get it now ;)

Here is pic, the worst one is on the short side radius in which the camera cant fit in. that ones about 3/8inch long and looks like a crack. but I dont know if its just when the machine hit a air pocket in the casting.

310-315 is pretty respectable, i really wish i had gone a little different way but once the moneys out of your pocket you cant do anything.

Who did you buy them from?
Jeff Morys is a good guy and stands behind his products...

yeah i bought directly from him, great guy to deal with, i just wanted to see if others had the same before i bothered him again. I had a while back on a ls1 vette coolant lose after the heads where ported i took the heads off and the pin holes looked the same as in this head, thats why i checked the ports but water may not flow through that area on a viper cylinder head.

I bought the first set of Strikers in Canada (according to Jeff) and can't say enough good about them; but I guess things can and do go wrong with anything.. It looks to me like maybe chatter marks from the CNC process...?... (The rough finish is a good thing b.t.w.).

If you have concerns, call Jeff- 248.672.2268

Maybe someone else on this forum that also bought a set could let you know what they found.
Or you could call DC Performance in LA and ask them or Kevin at Exotic Engine Development; they have both sold a lot of them...

Good luck..

Ronnie
