STS Turbo High Boost

22 was peak, then I roll it back to 15 psi 505. It would be in the 950hp range if I held it at 22 psi from 4800 to 6000 rpm. I don't think 505 is busting me, his 1200 hp is way above my little stuff. Just hope he runs better than a 11.2 with all that power he makes on that huge turbo.

yes i think hes runnin a diesel LOL :)

Sorry but the torque that a diesel would make at 724 hp would be around 1300ft lbs or more......

Can someone post that video on Google or photobucket? I can't see you tube at work.

dammm!!!! I want a STS turbo!!!!
so let me get this straight, with stock inturnals and maybe 10-12 pounds of boost i could run some mid 11's.......... I'm sold

its not that big of a turbo actually facts again marty the truck never ran an 11.2 the best pass we had was the last one and we did not get a timeslip it was over a 130 mph truck has only been raced THREE total times so i think thats pretty dam good

Marty I am a bizy ass tonight workin on my web site,

and PLEAZE dont take this wrong bo PLEAZE:D

but with all the bad history with STS on this site, and your tuning abilities , why not develop a turbo system of your own?

I think it would be a good deal bo

You need forged for the turbo. On stock then you should not go over 5 psi, 7-8 psi with meth or an inter-cooler. However I would not do FI without forged pistons. Having the power to run 11's and actually running 11's are 2 different things.

505, it's not a dig, it's a reference to Stinkers times and the power level he is at and what it gets him in the 1/4 mile. Pinks All Out gave me my slip....? That is how we all knew we were running right...
Running a 11.5 at 130 is nowhere as impressive to me as running a 10.60 @ 125 in a full size Ram with both tires off the ground for the first sixty foot. The turbo you have in size will not do that, just like a Supra. Everytime you shifted that truck, you lost a 10th. I like your truck and powerlevel, but with the combo I think you need to go after the Banks/Cumming's Dakota Salt Flats record. If you are after a mid to low 10 second pass, you have to spray that truck first and sixty foot in th sub 1.5 to high 1.4 before you get that time. You gotta carry the tires bro...

Night runner, you have to forge the bottom end. No other ways around it. You have to do a forged piston at the very least. The stock rods will handle up to 650/700, but the piston will not. Take care of the piston and you'll be fine. Watch Flying Lows Ram closely in the next 2 weeks, as that is what he has going together.

Stinker, as mad as customer support has made me this week on other orders, I agree. But I am loyal to Rick Squires. If he quits, then I will drop them like a rock. The inlet air temps are super cold at 130 without any intercooler. Plus I do not have time to be a fabricator as a builder tuner. I am very interested in JMB's kit and will probably build one from him soon. I just do not like getting tied up in fabrication time, nor does the customers.

Yes, I picked it up from Mesa yesterday. The cam is perfect at 2 1/2 thousand in the bearings. We ground and straigtened the cam too, it was out of round by 1 thou, and has less than half a thou now. Time to run...

he's just busting your balls!!! its all he's good at.

I am used to it, people have been doing to me for years, as for running the 3rd time, especially in a event with that much pressure, you are never going to run your best time. He will get a 1/2 sec quicker if he drives every weekend for a few months. He needs a 4 link.

Marty could you post some pictures up of what the STS kit looks like when your done with it:dontknow: Up top and under the truck;)

Me personally I am not looking to break a record. I just want a truck that's fast on the street:rock: Mine will probaly never have drag radials put under it:dontknow:

The only thing usually close in torque is nitrous. I'll post up some cruising videos before the rains come in. Better get some sticky tires though...
