STS Turbo High Boost

I think this has been talked about before but how does it do in damp weather:dontknow: Since the air filter is under the truck.

I had the STS on for 2.5 years and it was my DD. No problems at all. The kit comes with a Sock for the filter that helps keep the water out. I used it at first but then just kept it off. Now I would not back the truck onto a boat ramp but driving in even heavy rain is no problem. If it is raining then you are probably not under boost, so the filter is not sucking it more air then normal.

Some had me duct it into the bed, so you see a filter in ther front corner of the bed. But otherwise, it pulls in no more water /humidity than the engine bay can. But it is not for mud boggin....!

Yeah, yeah bro I hear ya!

Alright, I drove around on low boost 10lbs and did my best to get a camera mount to hold. The video is uploading currently to youtube @67meg. So check here for the video when it comes up in about an hour.

22 was peak, then I roll it back to 15 psi 505. It would be in the 950hp range if I held it at 22 psi from 4800 to 6000 rpm. I don't think 505 is busting me, his 1200 hp is way above my little stuff. Just hope he runs better than a 11.2 with all that power he makes on that huge turbo.

Straight Shogun...
