I did but I went a complete aftermarket route. If you want to just replace the sub in the stock box you have to watch your speaker depth. I tried to use the stock box with an aftermarket sub and it sounded like poo. Your best bet is to get a new box and sub as well as an aftermarket amp. I sold my stock box and amp to recoop some of the cost of the new setup. I think I got $200.00 off e-bay for my sub box since they are rare and the SLT 1500 RC guys like em. Good luck!

each sub requires its own amount of space inside the box to sound right. some need whats called a bandpass, which is where air comes in from on end, and exits thro the other. some require a sealed box, and some just need certain sized ports. your best bet if you do not know what to get, go to circut city. you pay a little more, but it is worth the money
