Hey Roz they are made by Kicker for Dodge. They have Mopar part numbers. Part number for the sub for your truck is 77KICK13. It is a 10" square Kicker Solo-Baric subwoofer. The setup even comes with an upgraded sub amp too. Bad news.......it ain't cheap. Check this one out

PSSSTTT: Maybe one of the Mopar dealers on here can get it for cheaper.

Roz I am working on a better box for our RC that would mount in the factory hole. It would be much cheaper and would use the factory amp. A better box (non plastic) make all the difference, especially when it comes to subs and airspace!
Ouch thats $600.00 for a speaker and amp upgrade:confused:

Anybody got any tips of how to replace the factory door, rear and dash speakers? I already have the speakers just need to know how to pop the door panels off etc...

thx patrick

Patrick I will be glad to help. A panel popper tool makes removing the doors alot easier. (about 10 bucks at Auto Zone). Tip 1: TAKE YOUR TIME!!! The doors will come off pretty easily. You can normally fit 6.5" spealers in the rear even though they are actually 5.25". The door handles are held on by a torx bolt and can be accessed by pulling the handle half way up. To get to the speakers on the dashboard, be very careful!!! The cover must be lifted slightly and then pulled towards the cab. They have really funny fasteners and they break really really easily. Other than that you should have no problems. If you have a Circuit City still open near you, they have speaker harnesses that allow you to just snap the new speakers in without cutting any wires. Good Luck!

Thanks dude. I just did a search and read tons of your past posts and learned a bunch already. Did you ever come up with a sub upgrade for the 04's?

I already have the speakers and some of the harnesses. No circut city here, plan to order via crutchfield. Whats a panel popper tool look like? No autozone either, we have Napa stores on Maui.

Nope still working on one. I just got a RC factory box to use as a mold from J on here. Here is what a panel popper looks like (it can also help to get your fingers under the dash cover)

oooooooooohhhhhhhhh aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh Someone spent some loot ont that headunit. Nakamichi huh. Haven't seen one of those installed in awhile. No one around here likes to pay for quality.
Nak. is pretty good but i might change it for a Soundstream, i'm not a fan of the flip screan...probably go with a incorporated 3 inch screen.

I could always move! Thanks for the offer. I got a lead today but it had already been filled. The shop needed someone since Nov 08. I never knew. Just found out too late. F@#K
