I'm a bit ashamed (aside from spelling 'suspension' wrong) to ask this after so many years but.... Do our suspensions still require regular lubing like the kind done with a low pressure grease gun during an oil change in the shop? (ball joints, stuff like that) Are there grease fittings under the truck? I've been hearing some creeking and moaning going on under #1900 during a slow take off in first. So before the pummeling starts, does anyone have any thoughts? :dontknow: Comments? Advise?

no sir, non servicable, replacement only, :D

Ahhh.. And.. you say that with a smile.... :argh: OKAY TONY! I tried calling you today to ask how much a JTS Venom suspension is gonna run. :dontknow: I might as well replace my X-Metal suspension if that's what going to make the creeking and groaning go away.

I turned it off for today and tommorrow bro, a present to momma:D

but I stills got the puter:p

but depends on the squeekin, take some wd, and first try the upper control arm bushings, jsut enough to coat them, if thats not it try the lower bushings, now if its not either of those, it may be the lower ball joints, not likely tho.

but I can get ya a complete bushing kit front to back all perty and red:D

A complete set of red bushings would be great. I'll try the WD first and see. If it don't do the deed then we'll be havin' some dough headed your way for bushings AND oil lines. :rolleyes:We all know my stockers just suck.

not a prob sweetcakes:D

oonlky reason I say to try to pinpoint the noise to the bushings is if its not by chance a sqeekiing bushing , it would prob be the lower ball joint, the upppers rarely go bad, they hold no wieght, but the lowers can begin to wear over time, but as muxh as yours sits it more than likely dry bushings, :D

This could very well be because she sits a lot. It started last year and got progressively worse.

HERE IS CRAP here is how to check ya ball joints

put a jack right under the lower control arm and raise it just enough to get the tire an inch off the ground, now take a long pry bar and not forcibly , but agressivley enough to start to raise the tire, and watch the lower ball joint , it should not have any up and down movent, in other words it should move as the tire spindle lower control arm assembly moves. if it dont, you good to go:D

well the area where the ball joint is, the spindle should not move separatly from the lower control arm , hows that? in other words the spindle should not move upwards without the conrol arm moving with it:p

I'll check under there and have a look see with my local know how guy OSO..

I had a noise from the rear of my truck, it ended up being the bushings in the leaf spring shackles, a few shots of WD40 like Tony said, and it went away. :p I guess my truck sits too long also!

if you wanted you could drill and tap you leaf springs where the bushing are for gresse serts! we used to do it all the time on the rig works like a charm

Now tell the truth Anthony, you spelt Suspansion that way so Stinker would understand what you were talking about.;) :p
